It is a burgeoning and booming business centre which holds great promises for the future.

Book StoresYou have not seen Bengal until you visit North Bengal – and Siliguri is the heart of North Bengal. You cannot explore North Bengal or North East India without paying a visit to this sentinel.

Don’t be fooled into thinking that Siliguri is just a place with a great commercial value. No! It’s more than that. Surely a place so well located, at the foothills of the Himalayas, must have something more to offer in terms of its natural treasure.

As you leave Siliguri, you will have plenty of options to go for a long drive or a picnic. The greenery around Siliguri has been a blessing to the town. Thanks to the abundance of trees and plants the pollution levels in the pulsating city has not reached alarming proportions yet. It is also due to the rolling acres of greenery made by tea plantations in the surrounding areas.

Siliguri has an ideal climate condition that is between mild to moderate. The maximum temperature ranges from 30 degrees Celsius to a minimum of 7 degrees in the winter. Bengali, Hindi, Nepali and English are the chiefly spoken languages here, and their tradition and culture creates a mix that is unique.

A cosmopolitan town with all the modern facilities of communication, transportation and infrastructure; a diverse mix of tradition and culture; friendly, genuine and helpful citizens; an ideal climate and a favourable environment for business and all things good: Siliguri has it all.

Siliguri is also known for it educational institutions as well, and students from other states of India and neighboring countries like Nepal and Bangladesh come here to pursue their studies.

Siliguri is a mini-India on its own. It is the place of union for all things new; the exciting and the exotic.
